My ministry

A ministry refers to any action taken on behalf of the church that serves its mission in some way. Ministry might look like preaching, volunteering, going on mission trips, or any small actions that make your church a better place.

 

Some people think that being a Christian is just going to church every Sunday, and go home. They think that, it is the only routine that Christians do, but little did they know that there are more going on at the back of every services. There are several ministries that you can join, like, the dance ministry, musician team, singer, multimedia, ushering, and many more but, let me introduce to you the multimedia ministry. Multimedia is one of the ministry that you can join inside the church, and that's where I belong. Multimedia is about the technical team of the church, they are the ones who'll handle the live services, the PowerPoint presentations, the line-ups, and it also involves the ones who take photos during the service. 

 

There's a big rule when you're in the multimedia ministry, it is to work grace under pressure, because when you face a technical difficulties, you shouldn't let your emotions take over you, because you need to troubleshoot it as soon as possible. Base on my experience, it is really hard to work under pressure, because your mind will be occupied by the pressure. With that, it is more challenging to troubleshoot, because the multimedia team shouldn't let the trouble go in between the service, because it is where the people will base all throughout the service. As already said multimedia team is assigned on to the flashing of lyrics of the worship, the preaching presentation, and also the announcements, so you should really need to troubleshoot it as soon as possible. Although it is hard at first, but when you get familiar with the equipments, it will be easy for you to know what may be the possible problem and to fix it. 

 

 

Also, maybe, just maybe, you are wondering why did I chose this ministry. I chose this ministry because, ever since I was little, I've been a curious person about technology or computers, I always like it when I'm exploring the computer so I've decided that I want to take a course that is related with computers, and eventually I got to know what programming is, so I pursued ICT Computer Programming. But how is this relevant to my ministry? I wanted my ministry to be something that what I'm interested for and knowledgeable about it. Since I want to be a programmer, I also want it to be connected with my ministry, because it is something that I am learning, so that I can be more knowledgeable, or familiar with my ministry. Also it will help me to fix the problems with the more knowledge that I have. That is why I chose the multimedia ministry.
